In Memory of Malcolm Harris

Our HistoryIn 1993, a unique blend of wisdom and experience was forged by the union of the remarkable legal talents of Konrad D. Kohl and Malcolm A. Harris. Mr. Kohl, former Senior partner of one of Michigan's largest defense firms, a true lawyer's lawyer, joined the practice of Mr. Harris who was one of Michigan's preeminent attorneys, a “Super Lawyer”.  Established in the upper echelon of the legal community, the firm's place in that community was only enhanced when Michael J. Nolan joined the firm in that same year. The firm and its practice further evolved and improved when Denis J. McCarthy merged his diverse practice with the firm in 2001.

In January of 2007, an expansion of legal might, both literally and figuratively occurred.  In an effort to ensure consistency and quality in the representation of every client, William M. Ogden was invited to lend his considerable skills to the firm; an invitation that was accepted. The talents and abilities of Timothy M. Turkelson, a specialist in criminal defense and litigation were added to complete the offerings available to the firm’s clientele.

The unique combination of knowledge and experience brought together by this association of notable attorneys anchors Lapeer County's pre-eminent litigation firm. Although second in terms of number, no firm in the County or the State of Michigan is rated higher, as the firm is rated "AV" by the Martindale - Hubbell law firm rating services.
