Mr. Ogden is trained in civil litigation handling numerous and diverse issues for the Kohl Harris Law Firm over the years. Specifically, he has advised clients regarding matters of contract law, residential construction litigation, family law, criminal law, all aspects of personal injury law, property law and professional malpractice. He has also advised clients regarding municipal law, probate and estate planning law, creditor’s rights law including bankruptcy and collection matters and condemnation law. Further, he researched and drafted numerous appeals at both the appellate and Supreme Court level and is a very proficient legal researcher and writer. Mr. Ogden was selected as one of four student advisor/court liaisons for the first ever Michigan Supreme Court “Court Community Connections” accessibility and outreach program designed to educate high school students on issues before and inner-workings of a Supreme Court argument.
Mr. Ogden has an extensive and consistent history of donating his time and talents to his community, his social networks and various charitable organizations, including: Member and Vice President (2003-04) of the Detroit Country Day High School Alumni Board of Directors, Student Bar President of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law; Member of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law Alumni Board; Delegate, State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly; Member, Envisioning Lapeer, Transportation Committee; Member, Professional Advisors Committee for the Lapeer Community Foundation; Member of the City of Lapeer Zoning Board of Appeals; Member of the City of Lapeer Planning Commission; Member of the City of Lapeer City Commission; Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Lapeer West High School; Chairman, Lapeer Community Schools Bond Committee, as well as other civic organizations and committees.
