Mr. Hodges is currently managing several hundred felony criminal matters as indigent counsel for Tuscola County. Mr. Hodges also maintains Lapeer City prosecution files while acting as the Assistant City Attorney for criminal matters. Mr. Hodges further maintains an active client base with family law files, estate planning, and general legal practice issues. During his career, Mr. Hodges has prosecuted nearly every conceivable criminal law violation as a thirteen year prosecutor. As Chief Assistant Prosecutor in Lapeer County Mr. Hodges was the administrator of five Assistant Prosecutors and up to nine support staff members. Mr. Hodges was recognized as the Mothers Against Drunk Driving Lapeer County Prosecutor of the year three times in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Mr. Hodges was the assigned Prosecutor for the Thumb Narcotic Unit from 2002-2006. Mr. Hodges has served as an Instructor for the Prosecuting Attorney’s Association of Michigan teaching police officers from across the State of Michigan in various aspects of the law. Additionally, Mr. Hodges spoke annually in training Lapeer County police officers in updates in the criminal law. While in the prosecuting attorney’s office, Mr. Hodges provided legal advice and legal opinions to almost every department in Lapeer County.
Mr. Hodges has served over the years on a number of community and charitable organizations, including: elected as Elba Township Trustee 2004-2008, where he served on the Lakeside Zoning Committee, Chairman of the Lake Nepessing Sewer Committee, and Park Committee; Lake Nepessing Association where he was elected seven times as President from 2001-2008; Sexual Assault Response Team where he served as President, Vice-President, and Treasurer; Council for Children where he served as President and Vice-President; SAFE Community Coalition serving as President for four years from 1999-2003. |
