Probate

Probate is a legal process which ensures the transfer of a deceased’s estate to their family, friends and other designated beneficiaries. Probate also settles the estate of the deceased in the event any bills or taxes are owed and any creditors of the deceased have a limited amount of time to file a claim from the date the probate file is opened.

Probate not only distributes the property of a deceased person, but it allows heirs and potential heirs to file objections to the deceased’s will and the distribution plan.
